Wrongdoing

July 2021. A representative went on record saying she was told there would be ramifications from the governors office if she voted no. I never heard of any investigation about it. Can only imagine how much of the same tactics were at play today. This is from July in 2021. I know that some of us who have decided to vote “no” are being told that there will be ramifications from the Governor’s office if we vote “no”?!” “So I want that on the record, because I am voting “no” today. And I will not be bullied, and I will not be intimidated.” “And I take offense – tremendous offense – to the act of even putting that in the atmosphere, and telling us that as individuals who have been elected to represent our districts that if we vote a certain way there will be ramifications from the Governor’s office.” “So with that being said I will close with this: I am a staunch “no” and I encourage everyone in this chamber to vote “no”.” – State Representative Robyn Porter, Serving Hamden, New Haven
